Patriot Power Greens Review – Positives and Negatives

Patriot Power Greens

Lots of natural ingredients.
Good customer reviews.

Lots of ingredients, perhaps too many.
Inclusion rates not disclosed.
Some bad customer reviews.

Patriots Powers is a good product. If someone desperately wanted to buy it I wouldn’t talk them out of it.

Having said that if someone was sitting on the fence and wanted to buy a super greens powder and was unsure which brand I wouldn’t suggest Patriot Power Greens – as I have said it is a good product but not a great one.

I would steer someone who wanted to use a super green product towards SuperGreen Tonik instead. It typifies what a product of this nature should be.

What are Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens is a supergreens powder distributed by Patriot Health Alliance. The company is a family-run business based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Patriot Health Alliance also markets several other health and wellness products including a sleep aid and a roll-on pain relief gel. It’s an established company that’s been trading a while.

According to the marketing material, each sip of Patriot Power Greens floods the body with a powerful blend of nutrients, phytochemicals, enzymes, and probiotics. This promotes good health.

Patriot Power Greens was apparently originally tested on veterans and older members of the armed forces. That’s an easy claim to make, but a hard one to prove.

The Patriot Power Greens marketing material also states the product was being tested to see if it could provide day-long energy, healthy inflammation, and healthy aging. If Patriot Power Greens was being tested for these abilities, Patriot Health Alliance fails to say if the outcome of the study was favorable.

How Does Patriot Power Greens Work?

Patriot Power Greens boosts people’s nutrient intake by providing a blend of plant extracts and other beneficial compounds.

It Provides Important Nutrients and Antioxidants

The plant extracts mostly come from various fruits and vegetables, but there are also a few seaweed extracts. Collectively, the extracts provide vitamins, minerals, plant proteins, and other nutrients. They also deliver antioxidants that help prevent oxidative stress and purge the body of toxins. Antioxidants may also have an anti-aging effect.

Some of the extracts are often referred to as superfoods. This is a term that is used for foods that are thought to be particularly nutrient-rich. However, use of the term is very controversial.

The term superfoods was created by marketing experts, not health and nutrition experts. As far as providing nutrients go, there is no such thing as a superfood. Eating a well-balanced diet is the key to good health.

Kale is nutrient-dense

However, some foods, including kale and spinach, are so nutrient-dense, it’s easy to see why so many people continue to consider them to be superfoods.

Even though the governments in many countries have introduced 5-a-Day campaigns designed to encourage people to eat more fruit and vegetables (at least five per day), many people’s daily intake of fruit and vegetables falls short of the mark.

Supergreens products should never be seen as an alternative to fruit and vegetables, but they are a great way to get extra nutrients and other beneficial compounds into the body.

Correct nutrition is one of the keys to good health. The plant extracts in Patriot Power Greens are there to help keep you on the right track.

Provides Digestive Enzymes

Your digestive organs use special enzymes to breakdown your food into particles that are small enough to pass through the intestinal walls. These enzymes are important. Without them, the nutrients and energy from food would be unable to enter the blood.

The enzymes used in health and wellness products usually come from plants. They are very similar to the ones naturally present in the digestive organs. In theory, consuming additional enzymes may enhance the natural benefits of food by improving absorption rates.

In reality, many people may see little benefit from consuming enzymes in supplement form. They work best for people who are short of enzymes due to health conditions such as chronic pancreatitis.

Tops Up Probiotic Bacteria Levels

Probiotic bacteria is the “good bacteria” you hear so much about these days. Most supermarkets offer an astonishing amount of probiotic yogurts and other dairy products that provide this type of bacteria.

Probiotic bacteria, or flora as it’s sometimes known, is naturally present in the gut. The guts also contain other types of bacteria that can have a negative effect on the health. Probiotic bacteria fights the other types of bacteria and, in so doing, can help promote good health.

What’s the Best Way to Use Patriot Power Greens?

Patriot Health Alliance provides its customers with a free shaker. It’s just a case of popping some water in it along with a (5.4 g) scoop of power, giving it a shake, and you are good to do.

The company says it’s permissible to take the shake at any time of day. However, it recommends doing so in the morning so you can feel the benefits all through the day.

Ingredient Profile

As is often the case with super greens products, Patriot Power Greens contains a lot of ingredients.

According to the site, each scoop (5.4 g) provides 20 calories and consists of more than 60 different ingredients. I counted the ingredients listed on the site. My tally was 55 and that was including the non-active ingredients. Does that mean the formulation contains five undisclosed ingredients? If so, what are they?

People have a right to know what all the ingredients are when they are considering buying a food supplement. If all the information is not there, how can they be sure the product in question does not contain an ingredient they are allergic to or has caused them to suffer a bad reaction in the past.

The disclosed ingredients consist of 40 fruit and vegetable extracts, 5 enzymes, and an undisclosed quantity of probiotic bacteria taken from five different strains. Four more ingredients are listed as “other ingredients”. Most of them are likely to be there to provide color and flavor.

What Do the Ingredients Do?

There are three different types of active ingredients in the Patriot Power Greens formulation. First, there are 40 plant extracts. Then there are some enzymes and, finally, some probiotic bacteria.

Many of the plant extracts, such as kale and spinach, are known to be extremely nutrient-dense. Spirulina is also a good addition. It’s a protein-rich algae that’s so nutritious NASA has used it to nourish its astronauts while they were in space. All of the other plant extracts have their individual virtues.

The enzymes in the enzyme blend are the ones you’d hope to see in a supplement that provides enzymes. The same is true for the probiotic bacteria strains.

Overall, the Patriot Power Greens formulation looks good. The only discouraging thing is the lack of inclusion rates—right across the board. To work well, good ingredients need to be mixed in effective ratios.

Are There Any Patriot Power Greens Customer Reviews?

There are some reviews on the manufacturer’s website, but it’s unwise to trust comments published at such a biased source.

Elsewhere on the net, Patriot Power Greens customer reviews appear to be pretty much a mixed bag. Some people love the product, others have nothing good to say.

Many of the negative reviews mention customer service issues. Lots of people are complaining it’s hard to get in touch with the company.

Is There a Risk of Side Effects?

Greens-type products don’t generally cause problems. They are one of the most natural types of supplement you can buy. However, Patriot Power Greens contains probiotic bacteria. People who are new to probiotic products sometimes suffer intestinal discomfort when they start taking probiotics for the first time. Be aware of that if you are thinking of using this product.

Probiotics are also unsuitable for people who have impaired immune systems or certain other health problems. If you have any known health problems or would need to use Patriot Power Greens alongside medication, it’s advisable to get a doctor’s approval before using the product for the first time.

Women who are pregnant or nursing a child will also do well to get professional medical advice before using Patriot Power Greens.

Hit or Miss? (Is this a Good Super Greens Product)

Patriot Power Greens contains some good ingredients. The problem is, so do most of the other super greens products on the market and I’m not seeing anything about this one that suggests it can do anything the alternatives cannot.

The lack of inclusion rates is also an issue. There’s no way to know what the ingredient ratios are like. Although 5.4 g is quite a generous serving, there is no way to be sure the majority of the weight is not coming from one or two of the cheaper ingredients.

Having said that, I did find plenty of customer reviews that suggest the formulation has already succeeded in enriching many lives. It’s just a pity customers who need to contact Patriot Health Alliance about their queries or to request a refund may have difficulty getting through to someone who can help.

All in all, I see this as a middle-of-the-road product. It has its virtues, but there’s nothing about it that makes it stand out from the crowd.

Where to Buy Patriot Power Greens

You can buy Patriot Power Greens from the manufacturer’s site. It costs $49.95 per tub and, if you live in the US, shipping is free. However, Patriot Health Alliance adds an extra $4.44 for taxes so the price you originally see is not the price you ultimately pay.

Taxes or not, as far as the price goes, it’s not bad. Each tub of Patriot Power Greens contains 30 (5.4 g) servings. You only normally take greens supplements once per day so each tub should be good for a month. That means using this product will cost you around $55 per month.

Patriot Power Greens has a 200% money-back guarantee. It also has a 100% money-back lifetime guarantee. That’s two money-back guarantees, one of which appears to offer dissatisfied customers to try the product, return the empty bottle, and then get double their money back.

I must admit to finding this confusing. I’m sure this double helping of guarantees will confuse many potential customers as well.

When I checked the policies page on the official website, I couldn’t find any mention of a 200% money-back guarantee, but the page says customers are protected by a 100% money-back return policy. It also says the refund may be less shipping and handling costs.
