Apidren Review

Apidren is a diet pill manufactured in Utah by a company called Nutripharm LLC.

Before going any further with this Apidren review, I think it’s Important to point out NutriPharm LLC is not the same company as NutriPharm USA, Inc; although both companies are active in the health and wellness sector.

NutriPharm USA, Inc, is a respected company that produces a variety of high-quality ingredients including herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals, and chemical intermediates.

Nutripharm LLC keeps a very low profile and I was unable to find much reliable information about the company at all.

However, the company has been around for quite a long time. The first time I had to write an Apidren diet pill review was back in 2016. At the time, the formulation only had two active ingredients—globe thistle and garcinia mangostana.

When I was writing that review, I discovered the formulation was a replacement for a previous one that contained seven ingredients incorporated into two proprietary blends.

Now, three years later, I am writing another Apidren review and discover the formulation has changed yet again. It now contains 10 ingredients.

Many manufacturers tinker with their formulations from time to time in the hope of improving them. This is a different kettle of fish altogether. The Apidren diet pill formulation has been completely changed a number of times. It’s not an update. It’s three entirely different formulations.

These radical changes take the value out of all but the most recent customer reviews. The older reviews are essentially for totally different products.

Any benefits or side effects attributed to the previous versions will not provide any insight into the value of the present formulation. Or, indeed, any future formulations that may be sold under the Apidren brand name at a later date.

How Does the Formulation Work?

The Apidren website doesn’t explain how the formulation works. All it really tells you is the formulation contains ingredients that can help you lose weight.

When you click the “ingredients” tab it provides a little information about caffeine, ThermoDiamine, and Green Select Phytosome Green Tea Extract. Each one has genuine virtues.

However, although one of the previous formulations contained Phytosome Green Tea Extract, the present one does not. The label states the formulation contains Green Tea Extract (50% EGCG). Phytosome Green Tea Extract is 40% EGCG.

The fact that a diet pill contains clinically tested ingredients doesn’t mean a thing. If the ingredients have been clinically tested and shown to produce weight loss, that means nothing either.

Claims of this nature only have value if the ingredients are included in similar quantities to those used in the clinical studies.

Let’s put this into perspective. Everyone knows sugar is sweet. If you put a spoon or two in your coffee it will have a notable presence.

If you only add two grains instead of two spoons, you might as well not bother at all. It’s an extreme example, but I’m sure you get my point.

What’s the Best Way to Use Apidren?

If you want the best results from this product you will need to use it alongside diet and exercise. The most important thing is to sufficiently cut back your calorie intake. If your body is short of energy, it forces it to begin burning its fat.

Exercise further increases the need for fat burning by causing the body to use a greater amount of energy.  However, if you have mobility issues or other health problems that make exercise overly difficult or unwise, you will still be able to lose weight by diet alone.

As with any other weight loss supplement, Apidren is intended to speed up existing results. Diet pills work alongside a low-calorie diet, they do not replace it.

How to Take Apidren

According to the label, the correct dose is one capsule taken with 8-16 oz of water, one to two times per day.

The Amazon sales page tells a slightly different story. It states new users should begin with a dose of one capsule per day, taken before breakfast. If there are no tolerance issues, an additional serving may be added to the morning serving.

The Amazon sales page also states the pills need to be taken with at least 72 oz of water. That’s significantly more than the figure NutriPharm provides on the bottle.

Each bottle contains 60 capsules. That means taking two capsules per day will mean a bottle only lasts for 15 days. Sticking to one capsule per day will extend the life to a month, but it will also severely diminish the chance of noticing any benefits.

Who is Apidren For?

Apidren is for healthy men and women who are over 18-years of age and wish to lose weight. It’s not for women who are pregnant or nursing a child.

Although NutriPharm fails to state this important fact, people who have existing health problems, or would need to use Apidren alongside medication, should ask their doctor if Apidren is a suitable product for them to use.

What Do the Ingredients Do?

Each (1 capsule) serving of Apidren provides:

L-Carnitine Tartrate

L-Carnitine Tartrate provides L-Carnitine. Your body produces this amino acid anyway but there are arguments for increasing L-Carnitine levels by the use of supplements.

Although it’s unlikely to be a key player in weight loss, L-Carnitine is good for boosting energy and preventing fatigue.

B-Phenylethylamine

B-Phenylethylamine is an organic compound that can boosts dopamine levels. It has value as a diet pill ingredient because allowing dopamine levels to fall too far is a good way to increase hunger.

Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine anhydrous is a powerful caffeine concentrate that comes in the form of a white powder. The body absorbs it quickly so the benefits kick-in quite fast.

Caffeine boosts energy and mental focus. Both these benefits can help people who are feeling out of steam due to their efforts to eat less and lose weight. However, research proves caffeine also boosts metabolism, increases thermogenesis, thereby helping people to burn through their body fat.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is a fatty acid that you can get by eating meat and dairy products. It’s a popular supplement ingredient that boosts fat loss while also offering protection against loss of muscle mass.

Green Coffee Bean

Green coffee beans have not been roasted. This allows them to retain their natural abundance of chlorogenic acid. This natural compound gets a lot of praise as a fat burner, but some people still claim it does not work. However, nobody disputes its ability to modulate insulin and blood sugar, thereby helping to prevent the blood sugar crashes that often trigger urges for high-calorie foods.

Theobromine

Theobromine is a stimulant that comes from cocoa. As with other stimulants, such as caffeine, it increases metabolism. In so doing,  it can increase existing calorie deficits and help people to burn extra fat.

Additionally, theobromine is believed to be the compound that gives chocolate its ability to improve the mood. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4335269/)

Green Tea Extract

Green tea provides antioxidants that detox the body, improve the health, and can help you to lose weight. It’s a good ingredient and there is plenty of evidence that proves green tea works.

One 12-week study involving a mixed-sex group of obese Japanese volunteers shows green tea is as good for the heart as it is for the waistline. The volunteers lost weight while also benefiting from reductions in cholesterol and systolic blood pressure. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17557985)

ThermoDiamine

ThermoDiamine is brand of evodia extract.

Evodia is a stimulant that comes from unripened evodia fruit. There are lots of claims regarding its abilities. It’s allegedly good for treating headaches, stomach disorders, and a variety of other ailments.

Research shows it can help laboratory mice lose weight.

Fucoxanthin

Fucoxanthin is a natural compound that comes from brown seaweed. More specifically, it’s a type of plant pigment called a carotenoid and it’s often praised for its antioxidant effects.

Studies involving laboratory mice suggest fucoxanthin inhibits lipogenic enzyme activity within the adipose tissue and boosts fat oxidation. Unfortunately, there is no way to be certain it can do this for humans too.

BioPerine

BioPerine is a brand of black pepper extract that’s standardized to be at least 95% piperine.

Piperine is an alkaloid that boosts the bioavailability of other ingredients and enhances nutrient absorption by around 30%. (https://www.bioperine.com/index.php/aboutbioperine)

Are There Any Customer Reviews?

There are quite a lot of customer reviews at Amazon. For everyone who has good things to say about the product there appears to be someone who does not. At the time of writing, I was looking at a rating of 2.5 out of a possible 5 stars.

Is there a Risk of Side Effects?

Many Amazon customers state the formulation made them feel unwell. Flu-like symptoms and stomach issues appear to be the two most commonly reported problems.

However, many of these reports appear to be for the earlier versions of the product. Though some people are reporting similar issues with the latest version as well.

Bearing in mind the number of formulation changes in the past, it’s possible the details in this Apidren review may go out of date pretty fast.

This being the case, if you do decide this product is for you, I suggest refraining from taking any pills until you have shown the label to a doctor and asked them to ascertain if the product suitability.

Hit or Miss? (Can You Lose Weight with Apidren?)

The present formulation does contain some ingredients that are clinically proven weight loss aids. Though the fact that some of them are only proven to be capable of helping mice is less than ideal.

Green tea and caffeine stand out as being two of the most notable ingredients, but both of them are diet pill regulars. You don’t have to buy an expensive product like this to take advantage of caffeine and green tea.

CLA is also one of the better inclusions. Many dieters experience some degree of muscle loss and CLA can help prevent it from becoming an issue.

There is no reason why this formulation should not help anyone to lose more weight than they could be diet and exercise alone. It’s not the best product I’ve seen, but it’s certainly not the worst.

Apart from the high price, one of the main problems with the product is the inconsistency. The formula you buy today may not be the same as the one you can get tomorrow and there can be some radical changes involved.

Where to Buy Apidren

You can buy Apidren directly from the manufacturer’s website. The other alternative is to order it via Amazon.

If you buy Apidren from the official site, you are looking at paying just under $50 per bottle with shipping charges on top. Buying via Amazon shaves a few dollars off the price but bearing in mind the fact you are likely to need two bottles per month, using Apidren is not a cheap way to lose weight.

NutriPharm does offer a few bulk buy incentives to sweeten the pot but, paint it any way you like, there are many cheaper options available. In fact, you could use any of the top-rated diet pill brands for around half the price.

Guarantee

The manufacturer promises Apidren customers a 90-day money-back guarantee.
