Purefit KETO is a diet pill that allegedly provides the “easiest way to burn fat”. As the name suggests, it’s supposed to do this by pushing the body into a state of ketosis.
There are a lot of similar products on the market and new ones keep cropping up all the time. However, ketosis is a state that’s normally achieved by following a special diet. There is no proof that a pill can do the same.
However, in theory, carb blockers may offer some degree of value to people who have already successfully reached a state of ketosis via their diet or are close to doing so.
This weight loss supplement is not a carb blocker. At least, it doesn’t appear to be. It’s hard to be certain about anything with this product because the company selling it does not disclose the ingredient profile.
Who Makes Purefit KETO?
The official website does not provide any company information at all. I did some checks though, and it appears to be based in Dallas, Texas. That’s all I could find out. Like so many other diet pill companies, it appears to have come from nowhere.
Companies that appear like this often vanish just as fast and customers never really know who they are dealing with. Having said that, there are no signs of this one disappearing anytime soon.
A Brief Introduction to Keto Dieting
Ketogenic dieting has been around for a long time and it’s presently back in vogue.
It’s a diet that’s low in carbs, high in fat, and contains a moderate amount of protein.
When the diet is done correctly is causes the body to go into a state of ketosis.
There are many claims made for the benefits associated with the ketogenic diet. Weight loss is just one of them.
Few of the claims made for ketogenic dieting can be supported by science. There’s a lot of hype. Much of it has its roots in the marketing departments of the companies trying to sell diet pills that allegedly help bring about a state of ketosis.
What is Ketosis?
Carbs are normally the body’s main source of fuel. When you consume less than 50 g of carbs per day, your liver begins manufacturing ketones. It makes them from fat.
During ketosis, the body uses ketones as its primary energy source instead of the glucose from carbs.
Ketosis is a normal biological process. No pills are required.
Delving further into the science behind the keto diet would make this review very technical and long-winded. Suffice it to say there is evidence that supports the use of diet-induced ketosis for weight loss. However, it may not provide long-term, sustainable results.
Research shows the keto diet can also cause many complications including electrolyte disturbances and hypoglycemia. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK499830
Purefit KETO Benefits
According to the official site, the supplement may provide the following benefits:
- Get into ketosis fast
- Burns fat in problem areas
- Helps you lose weight
- Burn fat for energy
- Improves brain health
- Provides faster recovery after exercise
- Maintains lean muscle mass
These are all claims that are often made for the keto diet. So, basically, the idea appears to be the pills can do everything the keto diet can do.
It’s also worth noting the fact that the official site states people are losing up to one pound of fat per day. Unfortunately, the site offers no proof to support the statement.
How Does it Work?
Purefit KETO contains Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB). This is a ketone the body produces during ketosis.
Putting it another way, during ketosis, there will be lots of BHB circulating in the blood. The ingredient allegedly has the ability to put it there too by providing it in capsule form.
Presuming the BHB is not destroyed by the digestive enzymes, it would be able to enter the blood via the intestinal walls. That’s how it works for nutrients.
The authorized website says the presence of extra BHB in the blood will boost energy levels. If it actually makes it into the blood it should do that. It’s hard to say how this would help with weight loss though.
In a section entitled “why keto works” the site points out: “When your body is in ketosis, you are actually burning stored fat for energy and not carbs.”
That’s an argument for the ketogenic diet, not capsules that provide BHB.
The usage guidelines on the supplements website are presented as a three-step system:
- Take 2 capsules per day with water
- Eat keto-friendly meals and snacks throughout the day
- Enjoy enhanced energy and focus as your body burns fat for energy
So the dose is two capsules per day. There are only 30 capsules per bottle though. That means each one will only be good for 15 days. That could make it a prohibitively expensive product to use.
For best results, Purefit KETO diet pill users are told to go for a diet that provides 70% fat, 25% protein, and 5% carbs.
That’s a standard keto diet. Anyone who is following a keto diet can have the results they want without the need for pills.
Purefit KETO does not appear to have been the subject of any clinical trials. There is absolutely no scientific proof that it will offer any benefits at all.
Ingredient Profile and Value
The marketing material makes a point of stating BHB is the key ingredient, but it does not say how much the pills provide.
In addition to this, the marketing material states the pills feature a “special blend of ingredients”.
Other than BHB, no other ingredients are disclosed on the sales page.
Basically, anyone who buys this product has to do so without knowing what the pills contain.
This is a very poor state of affairs. How can anyone be sure the formulation does not contain ingredients they’ve had bad experiences with in the past?
According to the site terms and conditions page, the product contains the Purefit KETO Proprietary Blend, which is “Standardized 80% 1000mg”.
Concisely put, each Purefit KETO capsule provides 1000 mg of a formulation that contains an unknown quantity of BHB along with some undisclosed ingredients.
Known Side Effects
It’s not possible to say what kind of side effects this product may presents, because no ingredient profile is available. There may be no side effects at all. Who can say?
However, the Keto Diet is known to present a few problems for some people. One of the most common ones is bad breath. It’s due to the elevation in ketone levels.
In addition to making you a less kissable option, the keto diet can cause constipation, vitamin deficiencies, and muscle loss.
Some keto dieters also fall victim to flu-like symptoms that may include feelings of fatigue, nausea, stomach pain, and brain fog. It’ called the keto flu.
More worryingly, the keto diet can be hard on the kidneys, though drinking plenty of extra water can help reduce the damage. https://bigthink.com/surprising-science/keto-diet-side-effects-worst
Purefit KETO Customer Reviews
It’s difficult to find genuine customer reviews for Purefit KETO. There are plenty of sites that have good things to say. Unfortunately, they all appear to be run by affiliates who are trying to promote the product.
Feedback available from more reliable sources provides more daunting reading.
Where to Buy Purefit Keto
Purefit KETO appears to be exclusive to the official website. Strangely enough, finding the site is quite difficult to do via the search engines. Most customers probably arrive at the site via affiliate links placed on review sites or on custom-built Ketosis websites affiliates have created to try and convince people to buy the product.
The Ketosis supplement landing page does not provide any information about the cost of the product. It tries to encourage people to accept a free trial instead.
The offer of a free trial is always very tempting. However, before accepting the offer it may be a good idea to visit the Better Business Bureau website and read the alert posted there.
The BBB investigation results are very informative and should be required reading for anyone who is considering having any dealing with the manufacturers. https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/dallas/profile/not-elsewhere-classified/purefit-keto-0875-90920114/details
The Purefit KETO website bears an emblem at the top of the page that states there is a “100% Money Back Guarantee. The site’s terms and conditions page suggests otherwise.
However, the page also states it’s possible to return products that are unopened and unused.
In order to be eligible for a refund, the returned product has to arrive back at the fulfillment center within 30 days of the date it was originally ordered.
All returns have to be accompanied by an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
The only way to obtain an RMA is to ring the Purefit KETO customer service department and request one.
According to the terms and conditions page on the Purefit KETO website, all refunds will be less a $5 handling charge.
Purefit KETO Pros & Cons
- Might boost energy levels
- No information about the manufacturer
- Lacks an ingredient profile
- No proof the product will work
- Bottles only last 15 days
- No obvious indication of the price
- Lack of reliable customer reviews
- Doubts about the money back guarantee
- BBB website contains a warning about the product
The Bottom Line
There is no proof this product will work. The website provides very little useful information about Purefit KETO. The lack of an ingredient profile is particularly worrying.
Most of the marketing claims are more applicable to the keto diet than they are to Purefit KETO. However, presuming the capsules are capable of getting a sufficient supply of BHB into the blood they may boost energy.
Unless one of the undisclosed ingredients is a strong appetite suppressant, it seems unlikely this product will help reduce hunger. That’s an important consideration for anyone who needs a diet pill to help them lose weight.
When hunger wins dieters lose. That’s why most of the top diet pills contain one or more quality appetite suppressants.
It’s not possible to say this product won’t support weight loss because there’s no way to know what it contains. However, gambling on the unknown does not make good sense. Especially when there are so many other options available
Purefit KETO FAQ
The manufacturer does not disclose the ingredient profile. Each pill provides 1000 mg of a proprietary blend. The main ingredient appears to be the ketone Beta-hydroxybutyrate. There are other ingredients as well, but it’s not possible to ascertain how many.
That’s the big question. The sales page suggests that there is, but the terms and conditions page suggests there is not.
It appears to be manufactured in the United States of America.
It’s unclear if this product is likely to cause side effects. None are mentioned on the official site. Due to the lack of an ingredient profile, there is no way to know if any of the ingredients are likely to cause problems.
It is unwise to any kind of supplement during pregnancy unless a doctor tells you it’s safe to do so.
That seems highly unlikely. At best, it’s probably a product that may provide additional benefits to people who are already following a keto diet.
If you use the pills in the way the manufacturer recommends, each bottle will last for 15 days.
