WILD OATS

Fall is here and the cooler weather has gotten us craving foods that weren’t on our radar during the summer months, things like spiced apple cider, freshly-baked pumpkin bread, a hearty cup of soup. On crisp autumn mornings, though, nothing beats a cozy bowl of oatmeal. An excellent source of soluble fiber, oats not only aid in digestion but can also help to lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t like the taste of plain oatmeal, but also shy away from flavored versions which can be too sweet or artificial-tasting. Not so with Glutenfreeda Foods’ range of instant oatmeals. Their selection features decadent mixes of real fruit and all-natural sweeteners, including Apple Cinnamon and Strawberry with Brown Sugar. The oatmeals are really easy to make – just stir well one packet with 2/3 cup water and microwave on high for about 2 minutes. You can add more protein by substituting the water with soy milk or one of our Mylks from Organic Avenue.
